A real gem of a park. It's well-maintained. The scenery is beautiful. The trails range from easy to rugged, and are extensive enough to keep you busy for a day. If you like to hike but have never been, do yourself a favor and go.

We went camping as a family here this Fall with a bunch of other families. Our kids had a complete blast. My 5yr old son said, "Daddy, this is the best day of my life" while hiking the trails. The scenery is amazing and inspiring. The campgrounds are very clean and well kept. I grew up going to Turkey Run annually as a kid. I'm excited to start that tradition with my family now.

Across the suspension foot bridge to trail 3 we go. Rated rugged as Indiana park trails go.

We love Turkey Run! I really like the campground, but be aware that the campground entrance is before the main park entrance! We had to turn around, and it's not easy turning around with a camper. The hiking trails are great fun, and range from easy to very rugged depending on your skill level.

Really cool, unique park. Feels bigger than it looks on the map. Well worth visiting if you're nearby. Drawbridge is cool and most of the trails are too—just go to any trail that leads to a marked destination and you'll be fine. The ones that involve ladders are interesting. Can be crowded at times; I recommend going off-season, although going whenever the canoeing is good is also recommended despite some crowds. Crowds have never been enough to annoy me, but it might annoy you if you came for pure peace and quiet. Trails close a little earlier than the website and park office say—we were camping and wanted to peek in at the trails about 30 minutes before they officially closed, but were kicked off by a kind of rude ranger. Camping in the park is always nice (I think), but again—it can be a little crowded.

Trail 3 has always been a family favorite. Walking the trail clockwise you walk among the rocks beside Sugar creek, climb 3 very stout ladders & get your feet wet in the cool ( cool even in the summer heat ) fern gully.

Wear your mucky water shoes, your feet will get wet!
