You can't beat the price. They drop you off at the river and have regular pick-ups at the end of the float every 20-30 minutes. You can make it a slow leisure trip or you can move swiftly. I highly recommend this place. If you are the type of princess that doesn't want to sit in the creek water or go into the woods to pee, then do not go on a river float.

First time experience was 4th of July weekend and even with it being busy, there were no issues getting checked in and on bus. We had a reservation and brought our own kayaks. Did the 10 or 15 mile trip, don't remember, but it was a great float trip. Very scenic, the water was high and there were still good resting stops. My only complaint is there should be a sign by the pick up spot, notifying you to get off on that side. If it weren't for other people gathering trying to get off, we might have missed it. The facility is in typical condition for this type of activity. If bathrooms and changing rooms aren't to your standards, maybe float trips aren't for you.

Been a few years since we've taken this trip but it is awesome. Sugar creek offers amazing views and rock formations considering it's in Indiana. Budget plenty of extra time for getting bussed around and for pickup.

The cabin was good but the experience trying to tube was not. Their attitudes are beyond ridiculous, but then again one customer probably doesn't even matter to them. Went down the road about 2 minutes to Turkey Run Camping and Canoe where they were extremely pleasant and I am so happy I went with them. The tubes were better and we constantly had people ask where we got ours because they liked them better. Prices are the same too... I may be back for camping but will never be back to Sugar Valley for tubing.

Oh, if you're new to canoes or kayaks, tie your S%!T to the watercraft. You should be prepared to swim and have to upright your watercraft.

Also, they have a secret policy. When the creek level is at 3' no children under 16 at 2 & 1/2 ' no children under 12.

It is a really great trip.

Bring about a 5' length of rope or string (paracord works great) to tie off to the front of the watercraft so when you get to the really shallow parts, you don't have to bend over to pull your watercraft as you walk.

I found out the hard way. Drove all the way down there with my sons twice...

Not sure what happen to this place, used to come here every summer growing up then moved out of state. We had a chance to come back and visit my old stomping grounds and was in shock when we pulled up. This place used to be booming, water park, bumper boats, nice store with ice cream shop, putt putt golf etc... So when we pulled in on a summer weekend and the place was empty with just a little run down tube rental shop it was very sad to see
